Let me introduce myself! My name is Ariane Keona Ochoa (the Keona is optional, but I like to embrace it sometimes), and I am a SoCal-based multidisciplinary designer and creative. I recently earned my B.S. in Informatics from the University of California, Irvine, and am currently seeking full-time opportunities as a junior designer. I would love to work in a creative and relational environment where I can grow my craft, collaborate with and learn from experienced designers, and contribute to human-centered work that makes a lasting impact.
With experience in social media content creation, UX design and research, web and interface design, and brand development, my design approach is focused on impact and grounded in an understanding of mutuality. People are at the heart of what I do, and my interdisciplinary background in graphic, UI/UX, and web design enables me to solve complex problems and create with an empathetic mind.
Right now, I spend my days busy with freelance design work at Airweave and Prenostik, consuming + creating art, andinterning with Saddleback Church’s communications team.

WHY DO I CREATE? (my design philosophy + goals as a creative)
I create to share pieces that are meaningful, human-centered, and long-lasting. Creating has always been an outlet for me to express my authenticity, but my time studying user-centered design taught me that creating can make an impact beyond the self; it can also be an act of service to help others. This shift in perspective has left me with a drive to create with and for a purpose. I want everything I make to be rooted in compassion and intention, and as I enter the field of design, I am eager for opportunities where I can create resilient work that is grounded in empathy and built to last.
MY FAVES AT THE MOMENT! (what’s been fueling + inspiring me)
Severance (DUH!), my daily breakfast of tiramisu overnight oats, getting to experience Princess Mononoke in IMAX, reading Wings of Starlight and Sunrise on the Reaping before bed, playing Minecraft with my friends, blasting Two Worlds Collide by Demi Lovato on repeat in the car, grabbing coffee with new friends, rewatching New Girl, going on afternoon walks around my neighborhood, the Tinker Bell movies, dresses over jeans, and Disneyland trips with my besties on the weekends, obsessing over Lorde’s new comeback with What Was That
